Sports News:

This upcoming Tuesday, 10/14, come out to cheer on the middle school Girls Soccer Team in their home game against Cliffside Park.  The game will kickoff at 4:15 PM on the back field.

The Girls Volleyball Team delivered on Monday earning a two-game win against Demarest! The victory was built on strong serving, with EdenCanarick, Paige Roadian, and Ariella Qosaj consistently putting pressure on the opponent. Their dominant serving was a major factor in controlling the match. Up at the net, Quinn Hutchison and Noa Levi executed smart net play, making key decisions to score and shut down Demarest's attack. On the court, Ava Topple and Sophie Donnelly were highly effective with aggressive court play, ensuring great coverage and powerful offense. Despite a valiant effort on the court on Tuesday, our volleyball team fell short against Northvale. Though the scoreboard didn't swing our way, the team continues to show marked improvement in their court play each game. We're excited to see their progress as the season continues! Come cheer them on at their next match on Tuesday at Norwood! Let's go, team!

The Soccer Team got off to a great start in Monday's game by scoring two early goals against Demarest. Ryland Del Prete had both goals while Andrew Hahm recorded one assist. Ryan Sheldon made several key saves in the second half to keep the game tied at 2. The Spartans had several chances in the second half from Will Pavone and Ellis Torrie, but couldn't find the winning goal. The game ended in a tie, but gave the Spartans some momentum for Tuesday's game against Northvale. The team played their best game yet this season with a dominating win over Northvale 5-0. Goals were scored by Jackson Merriman, Aksel Geyimli, Ryland Del Prete, Blaise Chiang and Will Pavone. The team benefited from great passing and timely assists from Will Pavone, Josh Dank and Andrew Hahm. Ryan Sheldon was able to keep the shutout with help from his strong defenders in front of him including Julian Torrie, Thomas Chen, Derin Buell, James Jannucci, Brian Kleczkowski, Matt Goodman, Brendan Pribila and Eric Hahm.

The Boys' Volleyball Team continues to work hard as they search for their first match win of the season. This week, the team secured a set win against Northvale — a big step forward — but came up just short in all three matches. Their effort, teamwork, and determination remain strong.
