HP Families,
As we wrap up this week at HP, today we wrapped up Read Across America Week. A huge thanks to Ms. McHale and the HSA for coordinating the themed days, read-alouds, Book Bonanza and a special reading reunion!
Last night, we hosted Kindergarten Orientation for our Fall of 2026 families. It was great to see so many parents come out to learn about the HP Kindergarten program.
Big thanks to Kindergartener Jack Stagg, who was “ Principal for the Morning” today at HP! Jack helped with announcements, Student of the Month, Book Boanza, read-alouds and other important school tasks!
Save the Date - 8th Grade vs Staff Have a Heart Volleyball Game Rescheduled - Thursday, March 12th, 3:15-4:15. This event is held in the Big Gym and raises money for the American Heart Association. Tickets will be $3 and this event is open to the entire school community!
Mr. Torrie hosted a second Parent Academy on Wednesday. The topic was Winter Wellness – "Rethinking Fats: The Seed Oil-Free Kitchen".
As a reminder, there is only one line of traffic permitted on the Lynn Street pick-up line, and double parking is not allowed. This procedure is in place to ensure clear sightlines for staff and drivers, maintain an orderly flow of traffic, and most importantly, protect the safety of our students as they enter and exit vehicles. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping us keep dismissal safe, calm, and efficient for all families.
There are two minimum session dates in March that we wanted to remind parents about:
Thursday, March 19th - K-4 ONLY Minimum Session Day For Parent Teacher Conferences
Tuesday, March 24th - Prek-8 Minimum Session Day - 12:45 pm Dismissal - Staff PD in the afternoon
