Sports:

The Girls' Basketball Team defeated Northvale and Haworth this week to continue their undefeated season. The girls showed great sportsmanship and dedication during both games. Paige Palmer and Quinn Hutchinson led the Spartans this week with 16 points each! Sophie Donnelly, Kami Bird, Eden Canarick, Teirney Waldron, Teagan Devaney, and Delaney Saland dominated on offense with smart moves and key plays. Paige Radoian, Addison Beezer, Ava Hwang, Ayzah Malik, Hudson Jacobs, Emilia Rossi, and Ava Topple played aggressively on defense, leading to multiple steals. The team will play again at home on Monday against Demarest and Tuesday against Closter next week.

On Tuesday against Northvale, the Boys Basketball Team  trailed by more than 10 points at halftime but showed great resilience coming out of the break. Strong defensive pressure and hot shooting from beyond the arc helped cut the deficit to just four points in the closing minutes. Ultimately, Northvale’s strong drives and timely shooting proved to be the difference. Michael Fernandez led all scorers with an impressive 23-point performance.

On Thursday, the Spartans fell to Haworth by a score of 57–46. While the result didn’t go their way, the team showed excellent balance, with 11 different players contributing to the scoring effort. The boys are back in action next week with road games at Demarest on Monday and Closter on Tuesday. Good luck, Spartans!
