Congratulations to all of the SAIL students who participated in Brain Busters today at Northvale. It was an exciting meet. After the first rounds, two HP students secured spots in the semi-finals! Eamonn Maginn's team was in 4th place while Nathan Ahn's team was tied for 2nd. In the semi-finals, Eamonn's team beat the 1st place team with a tie-breaker question and advanced on to play against Nathan's team, who also won their round in the semi-finals! Sports News:

In sports news, the girls volleyball team put forth a incredible effort and demonstrated determination yesterday! They played a thrilling and hard-fought match against Norwood. Though the final score didn't go their way, the team showed true grit, teamwork, and played with an unwavering spirit right up until the final point. They made us all proud by battling through every set. Next game is Monday at home against Haworth!

On Tuesday 10/28, come cheer on the middle school girls soccer team in their final home game of the season against Dwight Englewood on the back field!

The soccer team finished an extremely grueling week yesterday playing four straight games while battling injuries and illnesses. The team played an undefeated Closter team on Monday giving them their toughest challenge yet, but eventually losing the game 1-0. Bouncing back on Tuesday the Spartans got their third win of the season against Demarest. The team displayed incredible effort and passion as they dominated the game from start to finish. Will Pavone led off the scoring with a goal off a corner kick, followed by his second goal of the game coming off a Julian Torrie assist. Julian continued his stellar play with the third goal of the game after receiving a pass from his younger brother Ellis. Ryland Del Prete put the game away with a long range shot over the goalie's head to finish off the game with the Spartans 4th goal. Huge shoutout to James Jannucci for stepping up and playing the entire game in goal and making several key saves. The team unfortunately dropped the last two games of the week, a 1-0 loss to Old Tappan and 5-1 loss to Norwood. James Jannucci was able to score his first goal of the season in the loss to Norwood. The Spartans will play their last regular season game home against Haworth on Monday before the playoffs start.
