hp wrap up header - September 12

HP Families,

As we wrap up this week at HP,  our Annual Turkey Drive NEEDS YOUR HELP! We are again turning to our HP school and greater community for help through our “Adopt a Family” program. If you are interested in adopting a family, please complete this google form and tell us how many bags you would like.  Once a family commits to making a meal bag(s), we will send the special bag(s) home with your child. Inside the bag, you will receive a list of items needed (see below) to make a complete meal. Additionally, we encourage families to make a card or place a note wishing the recipient a Happy Thanksgiving.

Completed Bags will contain the following:

2 cans of vegetables (any variety)

1 Large or 2 small cans of Yams

2 cans Cranberry Sauce

1 Box of Cornbread

1 Packet or jar of Gravy

1 Box of Potatoes

1 Box/Bag Cake, Brownie OR Cookie Mix

Please see the attached flyer for the Class of 2026 Kids Night Out opportunity for students in K-4.

Yesterday, Sean Pritchard from INHABIT returned to HP to talk with students about stress management and breathwork. We are so grateful to be a partner with INHABIT for the past three years. Providing students with proactive strategies for their own wellness.

As temperatures outside have gotten colder, please be mindful that we look to get students out for recess if the weather is above 32 degrees. We remind students to wear all outerwear items they were sent to school with and if parents can reinforce that message, it is helpful.  For the morning lineup, we also use the 32 degree mark and we always take wind chill into consideration. Thank you for your help!
